I am so glad that you chose to click the link for this page on our website. I am Chase Hill, the lead pastor of Gospel Life Church right here in the Delano. My family and I moved here in July of 2018, because we felt God calling us to up-root ourselves from our jobs, comfort zones, support systems, family & friends to be a part of His movement in our city. Since that day, this city has captured our hearts? We love this city, and we are convinced that God is up to big things here. We just want to join in with what He is doing, and see ourselves as being one puzzle piece to his plan. Perhaps, that’s why you clicked on the link to this page, because you feel it too; maybe there’s a stirring in your heart and some movement in your soul… I mean why else would you click on a link from a Church? Maybe because you’re curious about who Jesus is and why He matters. Or its that you know something is not right with your life, and think maybe God could help you figure out what that thing is. Perhaps, you’re hurting and wonder if Jesus might have an answer.  Possibly, you feel like you’re losing grip on a relationship, and believe that God just might help you put it all back together. Or maybe it was just by accident.

The point is, you are here. Maybe with more questions than reasons, but you are here. And I’m glad you’re here. What I can promise you is that GLC will be here for you too. To walk through your questions with you. I know that’s not exactly what you were expecting; because if you’re like me, you’re experience with religion was: just believe and never question, or something of that sort. However, what I have found so interesting as I have been following Jesus is that, He never turns down a question, in fact He invites them.

There is this great moment in the Gospel of John, where Thomas, doubts that Jesus has truly raised from the dead. And I love it because he has said boldly before his friends that there is no way he would believe until he saw the scars and felt the nail prints in his hands and his side there is no way I will believe… And then he Jesus finds him… and Jesus does what we least expect, he doesn’t scold him for his unbelief, he doesn’t shake his head. No… He invites him to investigate, He says: “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” And Thomas responds: “my Lord and my God! (John 20:27-28, ESV)”
